Koplas 2010 From March 31 to April 3, 2010, many plastics and rubber manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world will be gathered together under one roof to display their outstanding brands and products at the 20th Korea International Plastics
Rubber Show.
The show, at KINTEX exhibition centre in Goyang, Republic of Korea, is expected to attract large crowds of visitors interested in seeing the various kinds of plastics and rubber related products and technology and solutions.
Since 1981, KOPLAS has been a most important bridge between Korean and overseas markets and generated a lot of related international business, either directly or indirectly. In the early days of KOPLAS, Korean plastics and rubber markets were dominated by imported equipment and products, but with the continued development of Korean plastics and rubber, manufactures are gradually becoming major representatives of Korea at overseas exhibitions.
As Korean plastics echnologies have already been integrated with advanced Korean IT technologies, which boost the development of new technologies and new products, KOPLAS will be able to introduce the latest plastics and rubber related innovations, technologies and solutions.
More than 314 companies from 21 countries all around the world are expected to participate in KOPLAS 2010, which is becoming a hub for the exhibition of plastics and rubber equipment in the Northeast Asian region. And also, it will be recognized as a global-scale exhibition with its total floor space of 21,384sqm while playing an important role in creating new environmentally friendly technologies in these sectors.
Korean plastics and rubber industries are currently expanding their territories into the new frontier industries as well as revolutionizing traditional plastics and rubber products. During the early stages of the Korean plastics and rubber industries in the 1970s and 1980s, the majority of plastics and rubber products in Korea were living goods. Still huge amount of those items are produced in Korea but the materials and functions are far more revolutionized than in the past. Today, the plastics industry is one of the largest manufacturing industries in Korea, and plastics are about to step up to the next level, openingup new frontiers.
KOPLAS 2010 will also unveil top-quality plastics & rubber-related equipment and solutions and will pave the way for discovering new, special materials in the plastics and rubber industries. Also, visitors can look through Korea¡¯s entire injection process for LED products at KOPLAS 2010. Every industry related to plastics & rubber will be represented here.
Besides having the chance to see the latest trends of advanced technologies, visitors can contribute to promoting related technology development by cooperating and exchanging technologies. We are expecting the mutual development with the top IT industries in Korea.
Mutually rewarding development is expected among participants by utilizing South Korea¡¯s top IT technologies.
During KOPLAS 2010, the most anticipated in-depth conference session will be held with plastic product development and design guru, Mr. Paul A. Tres of ETS, Inc. The theme of the conference session is ¡°Designing Plastic Parts for Assembly¡± and Mr. Tres will talk about the latest trends in design, marketing, selling and manufacture of plastic components and systems including co-injection, fusible core injection molding, and gas-assisted injection molding, multi-shot injection molding, and project management.
Concurrently with the show, more than 20 conferences and seminars on different topics are planned to be held at KINTEX Conference Center to promote the exchange of new information and technologies. The conferences will be organized by individual exhibitors and associations, as well as the KOPLAS secretariat.
The idea is to promote the spread of Korea¡¯s excellent plastics & rubber technologies and showcase the current trends of plastics & rubber markets in Korea. According to the industrial statistic figures, Korea¡¯s plastics-related sector is slightly improved even the general economic condition is in depressed stage. Moreover, exports of Korean plastics products are steadily increasing every year.
