Korea's Quality Foodstuff under Spotlight at Tokyo Food Fair

FOODEX JAPAN 2010 Demand for safe and health foodstuffs has been growing worldwide. Reflecting increasing interests in the ¡®well-being¡¯ trend, South Korean food companies have been dedicated to lifting their products¡¯ quality and nutrition levels to global standards, presenting diverse highly functional food products to attract the taste of health-conscious consumers around the world.
Thanks to these efforts, some of Korea¡¯s food products, including traditional tea, ginseng and Korea¡¯s rice wine as well as agricultural produces, fruits and various health supplements are growing in popularity as health foods with high nutritional value in overseas markets, including Japan and other Asian countries.
Targeting Japanese consumers, some of Korea¡¯s food suppliers will attend FOODEX JAPAN 2010, slated from March 2 to 5 at Makuhari Messe. They will present high-quality homegrown products, including traditional tea, ginseng, agricultural produces and various ready-to-cook items.
