Korean Products to Get Spotlight At German Hardware Fair

Amid the lackluster business climate triggered by the ongoing global recession, Korea’s hardware makers are struggling to maintain their competitive edge in the world market. They are making two-pronged efforts, launching innovative items with excellent performance and price competitiveness, while operating an increasing number of offshore factories in lower-wage countries.
More than 20 Korean hardware makers will participate in the 2010 edition of the International Hardware Fair/Practical World, an internationally recognized platform for the hardware and DIY sector, slated for February 28-March 3 at Cologne in Germany.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will take part in the exhibition by operating the Korea Pavilion.
The Korean participants are ready to exhibit their cutting-edge items, including diamond tools, cut-off wheels, high-end coated abrasives, home safes and DIY (Do-It-Yourself) items.
