What is the KOTRA Seal of Excellence?
The KOTRA Seal of Excellence represents quality, trustworthiness and reliability. The KOTRA Seal of Excellence is given to a select group of Korean companies that meet the highest standards of business. KOTRA proudly recommends the awarded Korean companies and their products to you on the basis of their professionalism.
Companies that have been awarded the KOTRA Seal of Excellence were subjected to a rigorous evaluation process to receive the Seal. Whenever you see the KOTRA Seal of Excellence, you can be sure you are dealing with one of Korea’s highly qualified companies.
Up until now, about 429 companies have been granted the KOTRA Seal of Excellence. KOTRA will continue to evaluate and add new companies in new industries to the list.
In addition, KOTRA is pleased to introduce the new Seal of Excellence-Green in support of companies that demonstrate eco-friendliness which is part of the KOTRA Seal of Excellence family. It is the next step in the development of the system that recommends quality products and sound business. The Seal of Excellence-Green is awarded to the companies which emphasize eco-friendliness while simultaneously fulfilling the other KOTRA Seal of Excellence criteria.
Who is awarded the Seal?
The recipients of the KOTRA Seal of Excellence have been selected through comprehensively examining their financial soundness, high quality, advanced technology and market appeal.
Before being awarded the KOTRA Seal, companies must submit to having their products thoroughly evaluated by a judging panel comprised of specialist organizations including KOTRA, the Korea Agency for Technology and Standards, Industrial Bank of Korea, Korea Enterprise Data, the Korea Export Insurance Corporation and the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
How do I know the Seal is Genuine?
Each company and product that has been awarded the seal is given a unique 9 digit number(e.g. 2008-001-01). The seal’s authenticity can be verified at “Recipients of the Seal” on our website(http://kotraseal.kotra.or.kr) by entering the unique number found on the seal or the company’s name.
