Beolgyo cockle is a regional specialty caught in the clean mud flat around the pollution-free Yeoja bay off Beolgyo. The sandless mud flat has ideal conditions for growing cockles, as Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs choose the Yeoja bay as the best mud flat in Korea.
