KICOM has launched an innovative FDMS (Fax Document Management System) service named ¡°GREENFAX,¡± which provides the fax document transmission feature over telephone line just as normal facsimile system does, yet its convenience and security features are noticeably improved.
When a GREENFAX terminal is connected to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network - ordinary telephone line) and the internet (or intranet), the users will be able to receive and send faxes using the GREENFAX homepage, which can be accessed by simply clicking on the IMstyle notification window on their PC desktops. It is also possible to perform the fax tasks through the homepage even when the users are away from their offices.
Mobile fax service, which will soon be introduced by the company, is the ubiquitous service that will enable the subscribers check the incoming fax using their mobile phones anywhere.
GREENFAX is a system where fax documents received from PSTN are sent to the users via LAN / WAN. The users do not need to waste their time and effort walking to the fax machine, finding their own document from the pile, and then coming back to their seat.
Advanced document security is one of the most outstanding features GREENFAX offers. A fax document, transferred through PSTN, is regarded to have a legal force. A fax number represents the company as its business name or its website do. Fax document, unlike other digitally formatted documents, has less possibility to be forged so it is safer in terms of document security.
