Jeongnamjin Jangheung is located in southernmost part from Seoul, the capital of Korea, and it is in harmony with the clean sea, bluemountains and the river providing the cleanest water. Also, it has the ideal environment for the cultivation of eco-friendly organic Shiitake mushroom. Jangheung's dried Shiitake mushroom accounts for 40% of total national production. Jangheung¡¯s Shiitake mushrooms are cultivated by eco-friendly mushroom culture on logs in the traditional way, which retains the unique flavor of Shiitake mushroom and makes excellent tastes with fleshy textures.
White Hwago refers to mushroom which has little spreading of shed, thick and solid context, shed pattern with split turtle back and therefore loss of white area between splits. Black Hwago is similar type to white Hwago and we can get Black Hawgo if White Hwago is exposed to dew or water during natural cultivation. It is premium mushroom with superb chewy context and flavor.
