Enertork Ltd. (www.enertork.com), headed by Mr. Cho Jae-chan, is the leading
manufacturer of electric actuators for all kinds of valves and dampers in Korea, and won the 47th
Trader of the Month award for its excellent performance in the global market.
Since its founding in 1987, the company has been fully focused on developing, producing and
selling only one type of item, the electric actuator. It is the first Korean manufacturer that
succeeded in domestically producing electric actuators that were previously fully imported from
the UK, Germany and the United States to meet the domestic demand at the time.
With a whopping 60% of market share, Enertork provides its electric actuators to major water
facilities, oil refineries and power plants across the nation. As a pioneer of the electric actuator
manufacture industry in Korea, Enertork operates under quality management conforming to ISO9001.
The company¡¯s strengths are low cost, strong reliability, and customized service for users. In
particular, as a result of 20 years of R&D endeavors, the company has launched its flagship model ¡®TM
Series¡¯ for multi turn valves - globe, gate valves, and also for quarter turn valves - butterfly, ball valves
adopting 2nd worm reducer. The TM Series is guaranteed waterproof: IP-68 (IEC-60529, submersible
to a depth of 8 meters for 72hours) and explosion proof: Exd IIB-T4 (IEC-60079-0,) 2-wire Profibus-DP.
In addition, major parts and components are easy to change for troubleshooting and
maintenance. A wide range of voltage motors (220V~460VAC, 3Phase) are available for customers
to choose from. All the compartments of the TM series are double-sealed with a pair of V shape ring
& O ring and have the flame path according to IEC standard to ensure complete protection from
dust, moisture and fire. Enertork which established its in-house R&D center in 1993 continue to invest
in intensive R&D and production facilities to produce differentiated new products and upgrade
product quality. In addition, the company¡¯s core competency in technology has been recognized by
acquiring NT and EM certificates in the 1990s as well as being awarded the NeP certificate from the
Ministry of Knowledge Economy in recognition of its advanced technology and high quality in 2007.
After the company succeeded in developing electric actuator for nuclear power generation in
2003, it supplied its products to Kori Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1 of Korea Hydro & Nuclear
Power Co., Ltd. in 2007. The company has also become a supplier to New Kori Nuclear Power
Plant and New Uljin Nuclear Power Plant projects, which are under construction.
With 11 agents in 11 countries, the company has launched aggressive marketing activities
aiming at the global markets. This effort paid off by signing a contract for supplying 1,457 units of
electric actuators to the Mapna power plant construction project in Iran in 2010. The company has
continued to supply other Middle East nations where some power plant constructions are under
way. In particular, the company¡¯s export markets have been diversified throughout North
America, the Middle East, Japan, Europe and Southeast Asia.
