Since it was founded in 1996, NTL has grown to be a leader in the field of cervical cancer screening. NTL developed the remote cervical cancer screening system, TeleCervico for the first time in the world in 2004, and has supplied it to hospitals and clinics.
This TeleCervico represents a breakthrough in cervical cancer examination in that the system makes the existing off-line examination possible online using the Internet. In addition, the TeleCervico system provides such various benefits as no geographic restriction to access, prompt interpretation (within maximum 24 hours), no need for delivery (using the Internet ),
resulting in reduced labor and consumables for delivery and test procedures.
Based on the technology and know-how accumulated in the service of cervical cancer examination over the past 14 years and continuous challenging spirit, NTL plans to accelerate technical leadership in the global cervical cancer screening market by integrating all the cervical cancer-related examinations and strengthening precision control.
NTL presented the thesis of the excellent clinical efficacy of TeleCervico to ASCCP (American Society of Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology) and to FIGO. This remote cervical cancer screening system complements the high false negative rate (about 50 %) of Pap smear as it can raise sensitivity up to 98%, when combined with Pap smear.
Up to now, TeleCervico has been proved to be one of the most effective and economical screening methods. In fact, more than five million women have been tested with TeleCervico. TeleCervico is composed of a digital cervical camera Dr.Cervicam, medical software programs and specialized evaluators for examination.
The wireless cervical camera Dr.Cervicam is the world’s first and only of its kind in the market. It can take pictures up to 50 times larger than the actual cervix. The image can be shown on the camera LCD and external monitor at the same time, and the image can be transmitted to the PC by Wifi.
NTL which acquired FDA approval, CE certification, patent registration in Korea & PCT application and registered trademark in China mainly exports to India, Iran and Kuwait. The company has also recently signed export contracts with some European countries.
