Semantics., Ltd. specializes in developing automated robot search technology. The company is equipped with 3,000 CPUs and runs the Qrobo super computer which can process 3 billion pieces of data per second. The Qrobo super computer is embedded with the company¡¯s selfdeveloped OS, SemanNux, which is designed to be unaffected by a CPU¡¯s errors or bugs.
Qrobo has set independent commercial semantic standards and has obtained 50 patents regarding relevant software and hardware technologies. Qrobo has the following features: First, it automatically extracts web ontology and does not depend on the widely-used morpheme analyzer. Also, the new search engine does not use word dictionaries or thesauruses, which means it is free from language barriers. Qrobo employs numerical value-based technology, unlike the existing languagebased search engines. SemanNux, developed exclusively for Qrobo, is an ultra light OS with 50MB and search commands aggregate.
Qrobo fully utilizes numerical grammar so that every word is translated into numbers, and the interconnections between words are analyzed by math formulas instead of linguistic processing technology such as word dictionaries or morpheme analyzers.
Semantics has already activated the service locally in Korea and plans to export to such nations as China, the U.S.A., the Netherlands, the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Russia and Italy.
