Daegu-based Bokuk Electric has become the largest-sized manufacturer among the nation’s small- and mediumsized generator companies, leading the market together with the local conglomerates.
Bokuk Electric last year reconfirmed its dominant position in S. Korea’s generator market celebrating the marking of its 50th
anniversary.
“We already took a step forward toward becoming one hundred years-long specialist based on the past fifty years of
solid growth and high reputation created among industry circles. Such various creative efforts as investing on unremitted R&D, pioneering on new potential foreign markets will be intensively pursued,” said the president.
Bokuk Electric has actively supplied a diverse range of generator sets, gas CHP systems and switchgears for power, industrial, military and various other projects - so as to completely meet any kinds of complicated orders arising in the Korean market.
Various models of diesel generators from the company are still holding their competitiveness with striking features including employing a standard control system, automatic engine starting and stopping, graphical icon-type LCD display, PC configuration via MS Windows-based software, simple selector switching type control operation, real time diagnostics via MS-Windows, etc.
Designed with a heavy-duty fabricated steel-base frame, those diesel generators can thus lengthen the mechanical lifespan longer than expected among industrial circles.
Wide range of its power generation equipment - such as Alternators (5 ~ 2,500Kw), Diesel Generator sets (5 ~ 2,500Kw), Gas Turbines (2MW ~ 5MW),Gas CHP Systems (100 ~ 1000Kw)MV, LV Switchgear and Packaged Power Supply Systems are also ready to be widely marketed in global markets.
The president confidently responded upon being asked about whether he has ambitious and creative business plans for 2012 and later: “We started expanding the share of solar business slightly from earlier this year decreasing comparatively the ratio of emergency generators among the whole areas of its business.
High value-added business begun seizing our focus finally, but still our flagship business area is of diesel generators,” adding that “we are determined to accomplish the 22 billion won in sales only in areas of the solar sector.”
