Stone Coated Steel Roof

[Stone Coated Steel Roof]
Stone Coated Steel Roof is a world famous, unbelievably light-weight roofing system that can enhance the look of your roof with its elegant design and great color range.
Stone Coated Steel Roof is designed and manufactured to withstand all kinds of severe weather such as extremely hot and cold weather, strong wind, and heavy rain. Stone Coated Steel Roof can protect your home against all the destructive forces of nature because the roofing tiles are designed to overlap and interlock into a horizontal fix system. The fastenings of this horizontal fix system are done at right angles, thus, creating a roof structure of superior strength that is strong enough to resist hurricane force wind, heavy snowfall, and earthquakes. The granulated stone chips on the surface give beauty and additional weather protection to your roof. Stone Coated Steel Roof is a product that can enhance the style of any home or commercial building, and give it a lasting beautiful look.

Contractors today have a new type of roofing product that they can recommend to their customers: stone-coated steel shingles. Their effectiveness has become so widely known that the contractors and building developers have little trouble convincing new homeowners to use them instead of traditional asphalt roofing. Their sales pitch includes this likely scenario: ¡°Imagine that you are gone on vacation and a hurricane or storm comes in. A tree branch breaks off and falls on your roof. If you have traditional asphalt shingle roofing, that branch can go straight through the shingle and roof decking, and you end up with a gaping hole in your roof. If you had a 28-gauge steel roof, however, you might end up with a dent you might not even notice."

Metal roofing, a traditional favorite for rural outbuildings and commercial structures, has a new and growing following among custom builders and urban remodelers—and their customers. Since 2000, sales of residential metal roofs have doubled along with market share for the product. The new appeal is both aesthetic and functional: Today's metal roofs can be painted almost any color and can be patterned to mimic the look of cement tiles, wood shakes, and even asphalt shingles. Homeowners as well as construction companies and contractors are opting for the tile-look and stone-coated metal by using stone-coated steel roofing shingles manufactured by companies such as Roser as they replace their weather-torn roofs.

Stone-Coated Steel products are unique. Stone coated and pressed into different profiles, they offer texture and style not found in traditional metal roofing products. The steel provides the perfect medium for pressing panels to resemble various conventional materials: asphalt shingles, clay tiles, concrete tiles, and wood shakes. However, unlike conventional products, stone-coated steel is lightweight, durable, freeze/thaw resistant, walkable and require little to no maintenance over the life of the roof. Unlike standing seam metal roofs, steel roofing tiles or shingles are made of interlocking and install horizontally. The 90-degrees interlocking feature aids in leak prevention, and the design keeps the panels in place during a storm. In locations with high winds and rain, or a harsh desert environment, metal roofing is becoming the choice of architects, builders and homeowners that are concerned with sustainable design, or "green" building.

Roser's stone-coated steel roofing uses Galvalume steel sheets plated with aluminum and zinc alloy then coated with stone chips. The roofing is made of 55% aluminum-zinc alloy Galvalume, to which a protective x-x-layer is applied followed by acrylic-based coating, stone chips, and a final x-x-layer of acrylic overglaze to give the roofing an extremely high durability and long lifespan. The roofing also provides an elegant European look, can be installed easily and quickly, and is eco-friendly, and economically feasible.

Roser became the first company in Korea in 1996 to develop steel shingles, and currently is the nation's largest manufacturer and retailer of steel shingles. First founded in 1978, the company combined its metal and ceramic production technologies and changed its name into Roser Co. in 1987 to reaffirm itself as a pioneer in the metal shingle industry. The company currently supplies over 70% of all the metal shingles sold in Korea, and the majority of Korean construction companies use Roser's metal shingles. Major buildings and facilities where Roser's steel shingles can be seen include the Gyeonggi English Village, Hampyeong World Butterfly and Insect Expo exhibition center, Hannam University Science Hall, Busan International Cruise Terminal, Jeju Racetrack and other major educational institutions, exhibition centers, and residential buildings.
