Since establishing in 1992 as the first biotechnology venture in Korea, Bioneer Corporation has focused on the development of

In addition to DNA manufacturing, Bioneer processes recombinant proteins that are fermented and purified on proprietary purification systems.
The company’s flagship instrument, the Exicycler™‚ 96 Real-Time Quantitative Thermal Block (Exicycler™‚ 96) is a breakthrough product which contains novel patented optical technology dubbed “Light Tunnel Technology.” This technology, which produces an excitation light profile that is even across the entire plate, remedies the problem of light intensity difference between the center and edges of the plate - a problem that has long plagued high-end real-time qPCR instruments since their introduction.
The proprietary optics, coupled with a high-performance light source and in-house designed purpose-oriented electronics and mechanics enable unparalleled precision in detecting amplified DNA. Other features that make this particular instrument unique among an increasingly competitive market include its 96-well thermal block and analysis software.
The 96-well block was uniquely developed by Bioneer to effectively transmit and control temperatures while offering valuable features such as a thermal gradient.
The analysis software was developed in-house with the purpose of providing an intuitive and user-friendly interface while providing the end-user of powerful tools for result analysis - an often neglected facet of real-time qPCR which is just as important as the polymerase chain reaction itself. The software provides analysis modules for absolute quantification, relative quantification, genotyping, existence/non-existence, and melting curve analysis - all of which are key analysis methods widely used in molecular biology laboratories around the globe.
