The carbon canister receives HC vapor from the fuel tank, stores HC vapor by adsorption while releasing air to the environment, and releases vapor to the power-train (engine) upon demand. In general, fuel to be used for driving the engine is due to environmental factors such as the surrounding temperature fuel gas is generated.
In the canister, while the engine is stopped, the fuel gas generated in the fuel tank is adsorbed and stored by activated charcoal, and then, when the engine is started, the stored fuel gas is supplied to the engine, whereby air pollution and the wastage of fuel are prevented.
Korea Fuel-Tech has in-depth know-how related to canisters accumulated for more than 28 years. Based on this know-how, recently the company has succeeded in developing a next-generation canister that can satisfy enhanced evaporative emissions standards (LEV-3) under low purging conditions like HEVs.
The plastic filler neck from the company is designed to be used as a basic part of the fuel system on a vehicle. The product delivers fuel smoothly and safely from nozzle to fuel tank when refueling. It can meet the emission control requirement by using high barrier performance plastics PA6/PA66.
The products mentioned above feature high mechanical performance, light weight and price. The markets of the U.S.A, the EU, Russia, and Brazil are listed as major global customers.
