LOHAS, which is an acronym for ‘Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability,’ is rapidly expanding its market presence in a number of countries, targeting consumer groups who care deeply about the environment, health and sustainability.
Biomaid was born as a result of the commitment shown by Sposis to producing household goods using natural materials that are safe both for the human body and ecosystem, instead of the conventional chemical-based materials.
The Biomaid kitchenware use only natural materials such as charcoal, bentonite and arkshell, which are known for such features as antibacterial quality, far-infrared effect, deodorization as well as heavy metal removal effect.
Particularly, Biomaid’s antibacterial cutting boards have become very popular at home and abroad as they are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with arkshell, which has excellent heat resistance, 3~4 times harder than normal PE or PP while maintaining a superb flexibility and a good cutting feeling.
All BiomaidTM‚ cutting boards are BPA-free. Colorcoding allows people to segregate the boards accruing to intended and separate use (fish, beef, vegetables, etc.), significantly reducing the risks of cross-contamination.
Ergonomic design creates perfect cutting boards. In addition, the innovative natural material, called ’Biomaid Arkshell,’ has officially been proven in laboratory tests to have 99.9% antibacterial protection.
There is almost no need for any other sterilization, because the natural material prevents bacteria from breeding. Best of all, this effect lasts until the product is disused. With 99.9% germ-killing power, arkshell antimicrobial technology is better than 95% antimicrobial detergent, 99.6% antimicrobes of bleach and hot water dipping. Sposis is a Korea-based manufacturer of airtight food containers, sanitation cutting board and various other ecofriendly
products with worldwide distribution channels. Since its founding in 2001, it has engaged in developing and manufacturing products that use natural and ecofriendly materials such as charcoal, bentonite, silicone and TPU.
