Seshin Industry is one of Korea’s leading aluminum die-casting cookware manufacturers, and has operated a die-casting
cookware production facility since 2003. The company’s main product line of aluminum die cast cookware/kitchenware
include frying pans, woks, sauce pans and pots, saute pans, stock pots, double pans, roast pans an other cookware for both
home and commercial use. Seshin Industry has obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications for quality control, along with
three patents and three new utility model patents. The company was also recently awarded the “KOTRA Seal of Excellence”
mark for advanced technology, high quality, financial soundness and market appeal as an export business.
Seshin is currently capable of producing over 40,000 units per day. Normally, aluminum die-cast cookware provide an
excellent non-stick feature compared to stainless steel products. Seshin’s die-casting products are lighter than traditional
stainless steel products but heavier and sturdier than pressed aluminum products. Seshin’s cookware are more durable, and
heavy, thick construction provides even heat distribution during the cooking process.
Seshin’s products also feature a thermal-spray base for induction cookers, which exhibit superior heating properties
compared to pressed IH bottoms. Seshin’s thermal sprayed IH bottom has greater heat efficiency as well as higher
power output per unit area that nearly halves the time needed to boil water (230 seconds compared to 405 seconds), an
indicator of the cookware’s thermal capability.
Thermal spray bottoms prevent separation between the coating and the pan, unlike pressed IH bottoms that can be
separated during the cooking process. Die cast products also prevent the buildup of food particles and fouling that can
occur with aluminum pressed products that use riveting to attach handles.
