Founded in 2009, Poweride Inc. is a Korean company that specializes in developing and manufacturing
hybrid electric bikes and intelligent E-bike rental systems.
Poweride has focused on the localization of key components of bicycles in Korea where many of the
bicycle components are still imported, and the company’s localization percentage of the hybrid
electric bike components now reaches 85 percent.
Based on its own unique advanced technologies, Poweride has finally launched the intelligent
hybrid electric bicycle TOMA. It is a new conceptual 5th electric bike composed of innovative
technologies such as a lightweight aluminum monocoque frame, IBMS (Intelligent BMS)integrated
lithium battery, the power control logic EAPS (Electric Assist Pedal System), regenerative
charging features, CAN communication wire for E-bike, wireless communication module equipped with
LCD display, etc.
In particular, the highly efficient regenerative charging function and EPSA (Electric Pedal Assist
System) that Poweride has developed with its own patented technology allow TOMA to have 20% more
improved energy efficiency than other electric bicycles. In addition, TOMA is full of features such
as the RR shock absorber, LCD info display(wireless communication module embedded), plug-in charge
port, LED headlamp, RR LED lamp and DISC brake.
The Korean company has worked on developing a battery in cooperation with Samsung SDI.
People can ride anywhere in the world by TOMA which has the reliable performance and quality by
using Koreanproduced main components.
Poweride has also introduced an unmanned E-bike rental system developed in cooperation with TOMA.
The rental system provides storage, charging, rental management, rent to use.
The unmanned electric bicycle rental system provides anti-theft and eco-friendly qualities.
It is made by using 99% recyclable new material frame without welding to enhance productivity.
To prevent theft, the system also features an inseparable structure with specially assembled
components and application of an e-mobilizer and two-way anti-theft function
