Portable computing devices have become indispensable in today’s world,
and peripherals for these ubiquitous devices have also developed in tandem.
The increasing computing power of today’s notebooks has created an
unfortunate side-effect: heat. Due to the limited internal dimensions of
notebooks, the application of external cooling provides an alternative.
Zalman Tech Co., Ltd.’s ZM-NC series “notebook coolers” combine the
advantages of external cooling with the company’s unique noiseless cooling
technology. The ZM-NC1000 is designed for notebooks up to 15 inches wide,
with the ZM-NC2000 accommodating up to 17 inches. The coolers provide evenly distributed cool airflow from
beneath the notebook, and are ergonomically designed to minimize user fatigue. The coolers are made of high
quality aluminum with D.S.A.(Diamond Cutting, Sand Blasting, Anodizing) processing . The rubber Grip Strips
secure the notebook on the cooler. The ZM-NC1000/2000 coolers feature two centrifugal fans and 679 vent holes
that evenly distribute airflow. Unlike traditional external coolers, the ZM-NC1000 and NC2000 are powered by
the notebook’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power source. Fan speed can be adjusted using a
controller on the side of the cooler.
