Lafarge First entered the Korean market in 1998 with the acquisition of two plasterboard plants. Building on the expertise Lafarge has developed in more than 20 nations over the past 78 years, LPK provides a wide variety of innovative gypsum products to the Korean market. Lafarge strives to provide gypsum products of the highest quality which meet or exceed international standards. LPK is the first producer of plasterboards in Korea using FGD gypsum, a by-product of flue gas desulfurization. Lafarge strives to ensure high quality with minimal environmental impact. As part of its environmental conservation effort, Lafarge was the first to import recycled paper as a raw material.
Its primary products are as follows: Standard board, which is suitable for all kin ds of dry work applications for walls, ceilings and partitions; Moisture check features exceptional dampness resistance and durability; Fire check is high-strength plasterboard with superb fire retardancy used for fire resistant applications; Aqua Lock, which is a high performance, moisture-proof and mold-proof board; Gyptex is the first-ever FGD gypsum ceiling tile in Korea for the perfect ceiling; and Gyplas, which is emulsified synthetic putty for finishing tasks, including crack sealing, joint and seam sealing.
