MegaGen, a specialized manufacturer of implants, has developed Rescue Implant to overcome the various problems associated with failure of implants over the past decades. Therefore, MegaGen analyzed the cause of failures and concluded that there are more failures associated with overloading the implants than with inflammation around the fixture. The frequent sites of failure were the second molar areas of both maxilla and mandible any other posterior area with multiple implant restoration. In order to overcome the overloading from mastication and to prevent disintegration, the design of extra-wide diameter implants was necessary.
In order for situations such as immediate placement of implants on fresh extraction sockets of multi-rooted teeth, extra-wide fixture can be utilized to provide excellent primary stability.

Vertical bone deficiencies in posterior maxilla or mandible can be treated successfully without going through sinus surgeries of ridge augmentations. Short implants can be widened and properly and adequately surface-treated to increase surface area that leads to implant stability.
