DACC has developed carbon-ceramic (C/SiC) brake discs for high-end vehicles. The discs are especially designed for use in utilizing carbon fiber reinforcement and silicon carbide (SiC) matrix, materials that offer excellent braking performance and greater safety. They combine good physical, mechanical and friction properties, such as corrosion resistance, good heat conductivity and high abrasion and temperature resistance and high and constant friction characteristics in wet, cold and hot conditions.
The product has a lifetime of approximately 300,000 km and lower pedal forces and quick brake response thanks to its high friction value. The company, since it started operation, has been committed to fully providing hi-tech scientific expertise, advanced engineering skills, and comprehensive information for advanced composites. Currently, the maker supplies carbon-carbon/ceramic composites for such diverse applications as F-16 aircraft brake discs, high-end vehicle ceramic brakes and high temperature jigs and fixtures. Furthermore, the company also supplies carbon fiber reinforced plastic structures foraircraft, ground fighting vehicles, missile launchers and many other related products. In addition, the company produces a range of customized systems utilizing a number of DACC products and advanced technologies.
