The VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) is a type of semiconductor laser diode with laser beam emission perpendicular from the top surface, in contrast to conventional edge-emitting semiconductor lasers (also inplane lasers) which emit from surfaces formed by cleaving the individual chip out of a wafer.
Its features are: built-in 12 parallel channels; secure 850nm VCSEL array source; data capacity rate up to 2.5 Gbps/5Gbps per channel; built-in separate transmitter and receiver modules; built-in industry standard MPO/MTP ribbon fiber connector interface; optionally available with EMI shield; and built-in pluggable BGA Connector.
The product¡¯s application areas are: optical backplane extension; cross-connected switching; network edge devices; access network equipment; and mass storage systems.
The maker has started its business in 1997, based on accumulated expertise in the field of fiber optics.
The firm possesses the most advanced facilities and production lines to mass-produce fiber optic components, such as Optical Jumper Cords, Optical Attenuators,
Couplers/WDMs, Fan-out Arrays, LD & PD Modules and Parallel VCSEL Transceivers.
