Korea’s Leading-Edge Consumer Electronics Products Set to Grab Attention of Overseas Buyers at 2013 CES
Participation in the show has been considered one of the boldest moves for South Korean promising companies to beef up their presence in the lucrative U.S market - but this large scale push into the 2013 show is expected to achieve greater results for Korean companies than ever before, riding on recent notable performances in the U.S market led by some leading local companies including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
Some leading Korean small- and medium-sized makers will strive to capture a share of the global market with their unique technologies and solutions. With their sophisticated understanding of the current and future demand by global consumers for more consumer-oriented IT products in terms of being real life-friendly with an affordable prices, local companies will proudly present their wider range of eye-catching consumer electronics items.
Given fierce competition for items they deal in, the exhibition is expected to be the best venue for the nation’s companies to bear fruits of visible outcomes including an increased number of business contracts signed on the spot.
Global No. 1 and 2 TV makers Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are now major players capturing keen attention among global consumers anxious to see whether the two will competitively release new TV sets. Global TV markets fluctuate depending on what kinds of ever competitive models of TV sets are unveiled led by the two South Korean global electronics industry giants.
According to the electronics industry, Samsung Electronics has prepared a series of more than 80inches ultra definition (UD) TVs. The 85-inch UD panel features significantly increased size, together with clearer image a four-fold increased resolution compared with existing HD TVs.
The OLED TVs made by the two pioneers are expected to again be a major drawcard among global consumers and buyers visiting the show. Samsung Electronics’ spokesperson said “We now can’t release specific plans for the product - but it is obvious that we will unveil OLED TVs with panels with more than 60inches featuring upgraded design and definition.”
LG Electronics will cram itself into an intense battlefield. It will fiercely compete with Samsung Electronics with its already commercialized world’s largest 84- inch UD TV that was unveiled this year CES. The company remains confident over dealing with the competition from Samsung Electronics - based on LG’s differentiated design and screen size.
LG Electronics plans to unveil ‘2013 version OLED TVs’ there. A reliable source in the electronics industry forecasted : “From next year, the competitive focus in TVs will shift from emphasis on additional features to essential aspects such as screen, resolution and the global fierce competition over UD will also grow, where South Korean makers show dominance over their global competitors.”
