Demand for safe and health foodstuffs has been growing worldwide. In line with this global trend, some South Korean food companies are attempting to attract global consumers by lifting their products quality and nutrition levels to global standards.
Thanks to these efforts, some of Korea s food products, including traditional herbal tea, ginseng and kimchi, are gaining popularity as health foods with high nutritional value in overseas markets, including many Asian countries.
Targeting American consumers, some of Korea s food suppliers will attend Summer Fancy Food Show 2010, scheduled to be held from June 27 to 29 at Jacob K. Javits Center, New York. They will present high-quality homegrown products, including ginseng, agricultural produces, fruits, various health supplements and ready-to-cook items.
