Hwan Woo Tech has successfully developed innovative rehabilitation medical beds equipped with a remedial exercise device.
Domestically patented, the company’s unique medical beds also have international patents (PCT) for markets in Japan, the United States, China, Canada, Singapore, the EU and Australia. Due to strict quality control, the firm has acquired KGMP(Korean Good Manufacturing Practice) approval from the Korea Food & Drug Administration (KFDA).
By combining hospital bed and remedial exercise devices, the maker’s product allows patients to obtain convenientand optimum treatment with far less costs. Accordingly, physical therapists can sharply reduce their fatigue due to excessive work.
At the same time, patients are freed of the need to move to a physical therapy room. Hospitals can also enjoy a significant improvement in productivity and great savings in facility costs. Old people can use the special bed as a means of exercise.
The patients are just required to put their leg or arm on the exercise module and adjust the backrest to the optimum tilt angle. Then, the bed’s exercise device automatically pulls and stretches the patient’s arm or leg. Under the automatic operation mode, the patients can gain various treatment effects for joints and muscles in hip, knee and ankle. When exercising is finished, the backrest should be horizontally tilted and then the exercise device can be freely detached from the bed. Depending on the kind of exercise, whether for leg joints or arm joints, the exercise device of the beds can be freely changed.
With the exercise device being removed, the firm’s beds can be used a convenient medical bed. Their head & foot panels can be freely adjusted. Their casters ensure easy movement of the bed. Side rails prevent the patient from falling, while an extra table guarantees convenient meal and reading for patients.
The built-in foot exercise device helps the patient’s leg exercise. The control unit for the driving module system allows the user to freely adjust of time, speed and power of the exercise and effectively controls the height of backrest and leg support.
Measuring 2,136 x 956 x 766mm, the maker’s medical beds weigh 81.6kg. With a consumption power of 180W, they operate on AC 220V at 60Hz. “Focusing our efforts on producing higher-end medical beds, we will endeavor to supply our competitive products to customers worldwide,” says company president Song Mi-sun.
