Jeilseed Co., Ltd. has introduced anti-cancer Chinese cabbage - with 34.5 times stronger anti-cancer effects than its ordinary counterpart has. The leading company in the Korean seed market has bred various kinds of vegetable seed since 1978, including the world¡¯s first functional Dangjo pepper containing blood-sugar lowering ingredient for diabetics.
The president of Jeilseed, who is an officially authorized master of seeds, says that the new anti-cancer Chinese cabbage which was created by an interspecies crossing between cabbage and turnip is rich in anti-cancer ingredients such as beta-carotene and Gluconapin.
The new anti-cancer Chinese cabbage is 20% larger than the existing ones. With the yellow heart, the new Chinese cabbage has more numerous leaves and is 20% larger than the existing ones. Additionally, this covered type cabbage is medium-late growing variety, which means the seeds should be sown about five days earlier than the normal cabbage.
Since the cabbage has the gene of turnips, it is basically resistant against the clubroot and heading happens more slowly, compared with the normal cabbage.
