Printed textiles grace catwalks the world over and prints are nowadays parts of lines or entire fashion lines in themselves. Creations truly are limited only by what you can dream and it is not all beyond reach. D.gen¡¯s Teleios series of textile printers has bought production costs down significantly in what is an increasingly creative and competitive sector in both ability to design and safety and efficiency of production.
The ability to imagine and then produce got much easier with the d.gen Teleios range. The Teleios series of printers consists of the Teleios GT, a 3.3 meter width printer, the Teleios Grande, also a 3.3 meter width printer, the Teleios 74/v6 which has more colors available to print with, the Teleios 74/v8 and the Teleios 100.
The d.gen Teleios is cited as one of, if not the most, widely used printers in the sector of soft signage. No paper or water is required for printing. The printer is regarded as eco-friendly by EU (European Union) standards and there is no need for use of phenol or solvents. The Teleios range can produce colors that are almost the same on both the front and the rear of the fabric printed with them. The same color standard on the front and rear of the fabric also enables fashion uses of the technology such as scarf printing or blouses. The preceding is one of the reasons why the fabric printing technology is widely used for both flags and banners. It is also very easy to express gradation with the technology and the entire process offers a reduction in labor costs for clients. It is possible to reproduce patterns with the d.gen integrated solution that are in fact otherwise impossible with traditional fabric printing methods. An additional innovation that has sprung from the d.gen system of fabric printing is the ability to apply almost any pattern onto interiors thus making the technology valuable not just for textile but also as a design tool extant.
There are eight print-heads on each machine, a high capacity ink cartridge that can contain eight colors or four colors doubled up. The printer also has a fabric feeding device that enables problem-free feeding of even fragile fabrics. The printer has a built in dryer so that prints are dried straight away but the company does give the caution that with thick fabrics additional measures may be necessary. The printer has a TU-400 (400m/roll) take-up unit and a heat fixation unit that enables simultaneous printing for polyesters and has an x-x-embedded computer for controlling the activation of colors and temperature and ink ratios. The unit also has a Fumebuster which purifies the air and maintains the internal temperature of the printer. The air purifier has five filters with which it purifies and cools air.
D.gen¡¯s Teleios range has not left clients in the lurch as far as adjunct and compatible computing support is concerned. In support of their technology for the art of digital printing d.gen developed software for designing and enabling printing, as well as the Monaco profiler which is compatible with Photoshop that is for the purpose of creating ICC profiles, the key element for d.gen CMS.
The d.gen Teleios series has received some rave reviews from customers. Most of the positive reviews are for the Teleios printer¡¯s ability to print 100 square meters per hour for 365 days, year-round, without machinery problems, in what can only be described as high performance of both printing technology and the cooling and air cleaning components of the technology. Industry and customers have aired their views online and concluded via the award of standards and various prizes that d.gen¡¯s technology and skill at developing digital printers is of a very high standard.
