Established in 2005, Jcast Networks Korea is a leading manufacturer of WiMAX systems, ITS VDS products, and video encoder/decoder products based on super low latency.
It provides WiMAX solutions for both the private and public sectors in Korea for the provision of wireless broadband connectivity of more than 54 Mbps between islands and the shore.
The company has conspicuous overseas business experience of installing a nationwide WiMAX wireless network for Senegal for the application of e-Government to connect more than 800 government offices in 35 cities.
Based on AMR sensors, the company has developed a vehicle detection system to measure vehicle presence, vehicle speed and occupancy, consisting of TWSN (traffic and weather sensor node), uRSE and TWIS.
When vehicles pass over TWSN buried in the pavement, TWSN sends traffic information using wireless Zigbee technology to uRSE. Since it operates on the battery, it is easy and cost-effective for installation and maintenance.
TWIS is a management system to collect and store in real-time manner of the traffic data for a wide area. The company’s full HD video servers based on super low latency of 17ms are deployed in semiconductor factories to manage and control real-time production information through IP-based networks.
Production servers in the clean room are via IP-network connected with monitoring servers in supervisory stations. The critical key factor is its super low latency in end-to-end encoding and decoding process.
