The global market for LED lights is projected to show constant growth, primarily driven by a rapid rise in demand for LED lighting and LCD liquid crystal display. The French market researcher Yole Development has recently released a report saying that the global LED light market is estimated at 14 trillion won ($11.4 billion) in 2012 and is set to exceed $17 billion in 2018.
Under the circumstance, many of Korea’s LED lighting manufacturers are turning their eyes to overseas markets. Dongbu Lightec Co., Ltd, a leading manufacturer of lightemitting diode (LED) lighting has also recently doubled its efforts to solidify its presence overseas by enhancing its corporate presence and manpower in the North American market. In a similar development, the company is set to open a local branch in Frankfurt, Germany in a bid to target the European market more aggressively.
Through these endeavors, Dongbu Lightec is forecasted to double its sales to about 90 Mill USD in 2012 from 36 Mill USD last
year. Dongbu Lightec is mainly engaged in the manufacture and distribution of LED lighting and industrial machinery. Its LED
lighting segment provides LED light panels for advertising and LED lamps for general and industrial uses. The company distributes its LED lighting and LED light panels under the brand names of LumiDas and LumiSheet.

The LED lighting can be applied various indoor environments such as homes, offices and public institutions with extremely low energy consumption. LumiSheetLamp consumes 30% less energy than existing fluorescent lamps. Through test pilots and installations in public establishments at home and abroad, LumiSheetLamp’s quality has been tested for the last two years. Its reliability and safety has been proven by acquiring UL, DLC (Design Lights Consortium) and a certification from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
LumiDas Flood
This is an ideal indoor and outdoor LED solution that reaches targeted areas more effectively with focused beam into a single direction. LumiDas Flood is highly economical with energy savings of more than 55%, compared to existing floodlights, lowering maintenance costs due to long life of 30,000 to 50,000 hours.
