Daeyoung One Co., is a specialized manufacturer of precise extrusion tooling as well as electronic/vehicle components made by tooling. Since its establishment in 1981, the company has produced optical parts (light guide plate and LED lens), printer gear, HDD components (disk damper), in addition to many other components for various digital electronic devices, cameras, LCD displays, audio/video products that require precise molding and processing, through its six factories in Korea, China and Indonesia.
Daeyoung One’s high technology was widely recognized when the company developed its “12.1” LED light guide plate and backlight unit for TFT-LCD laptop computer’ for the first time in the world in 2009, and “Two-lamp light guide plate for TFT-LCD
monitor” for the second time in the world in 2005. In addition, as a first-tier contractor with Samsung Electronics, the company was selected as the world’s 1st in 2009 among the electronic giant’s many moldingrelated contractors.
Light guide plate, one of the company’s flagship products, is a core component for LCD BLU which is mainly used for TV and laptop computer monitors.
Receiving light from the light source, LGP helps disperse the light uniformly through the regular patterns coated on the plate’s surface. LED lens produced by the company helps compensate and disperse light in LED lighting systems. The lens controls the light as diversely appeared, according to the lens type.
Printer gear, another main product of the company, is a core component in driving printers. It requires precise molding and processing for accurate operating of the printer.
Disk damper is a part of a hard disk drive. By stabilizing the air flow, the disk damper helps reduce the noise generated by rotation of the disk. It is the first of its kind in Korea replacing the metal damper with plastic one, thus requiring precise mold design and manufacturing technology for processing extraordinary solid plastic.
