Since it was established in 1970 as an affiliate of LG group, one of the largest business groups in Korea, LG Innotek has produced various electronics and IT components including tuner, power motor, LCD module, LED, cameral module, wireless communication parts, and automotive electric parts.
Gaining a high reputation for developing and manufacturing TV tuners for the first time in Korea, the company’s tuner was selected as one of the “Worldclass products of Korea” by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
The tuner is a kind of receiver that chooses only one broadcasting channel among many ones received, and converts it into clear video and/or audio signals excluding interference signals. Applied to such appliances as TVs, DVDs, set-top boxes, VCRs, PCs and mobile phones, LG Innotek’s tuner exceeded production of 500 million units of tuners as early as in 2006.
