DVD Optical Pick-up from IM is an optical device that replays such data recorded at optical disk as voice and video, by transposing electric signal and optical signal. Typically it plays a crucial role to convert information in DVD player, home theater system, camcorder, game console, etc. into video.
Blu-ray Optical Pick-up is a device that playbacks or records digital contents in Blu-ray Disc(BDA) such as movie into the information suitable for Full HD(High Density) TV(LCD, PDP), thus playing a key role of Blu-ray player in playing video and voice.
As OECD countries are expected to change their analog broadcasting systems to digital systems by 2010, demand of Blu-ray Optical Pick-up, which realizes Full HD contents on Full HD TVs, will soar as a core product in digital broadcasting era. Digital TV requires much upgraded conditions; high resolution of 1018i/p, 16:9 ratio wide screen, sound quality of over 5.1 channel, etc.
