We recently brought in new laser equipment for our skin care, repair and treatment clinic. It's a model named "Mosaic Echo 2" fractional laser from a company called Lutronic. We chose this model because we felt that this laser system was the safest and most effective tool in our arsenal for removing scars and restoring skin.



How can lasers help treat damaged skin? There are several environmental factors that can cause the skin to appear blotchy and uneven. These include wind, dirt, chemicals, arid climates, smoking, pollution, and ultraviolet radiation (which causes sun damage). All of these elements strip the skin of its natural collagen and elastin fibers, causing it to appear dry, rough, and wrinkled. Age also plays a role in the formation of wrinkles, age spots, blotchiness, and rough skin texture. Wrinkles, fine lines, and an uneven skin complexion all develop as a part of the natural aging process. In addition to environmental factors and age, specific skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, and allergies can severely affect the skin's overall health and contribute greatly to blotchiness and uneven skin texture. Fortunately, it is possible to reduce the outward signs of aging by following a careful regimen of skin care and protection, and a part of this can be provided by the judicious use of laser treatment.



The Mosaic Echo 2 is an advanced 10,600nm fractional CO2 dermabrasion laser that can penetrate down to the upper dermis x-x-x-x-layer to treat and regenerate skin. This is how it works: the application of the laser beam creates a fine x-x-x-x-layer of artificial abrasion on the dermis x-x-x-x-layer of the skin, which then removes the pigments on the top x-x-x-x-layer of the skin while promoting the contraction and regeneration of the collagen deep within the dermis. The fractional CO2 laser heats water within the surface x-x-x-x-layers of the skin, causing both the water and the tissue of the skin to turn to vapor. Every time the laser passes over the skin, some of the outermost x-x-x-x-layers of the skin are removed in a precise and controlled way to the appropriate depth.



This restores youth and vitality to the skin. This laser treatment is able to improve skin tone, remove scars, and restore even deep wrinkles. Laser treatment is safe and is free from serious side effects since promotes the natural healing and regeneration of skin instead of introducing harmful chemical or other unnatural elements to the skin. Since fractional laser treatment leaves a x-x-x-x-layer of epidermis intact, the patient can apply makeup or shave immediately after treatment. We recommend that patients take at least a day off after treatment and use moisturizers and sunblock cream for at least two weeks in order to protect the sensitive skin and allow it to repair itself.
