EPILIA from Dosis M&M is a new hair removal system for all skin types, including tanned skin and all hair color. The equipment harnesses two energy sources - laser diode and Radio Frequency. By adopting these two different types of energy sources, it reduces the laser energy level so that it can be safely used even for skin type VI. The Radio Frequency is not affected by the absorption of melanin (for epidermis safety), including the melanin at the hair shaft (for efficacy on light & fine hair).
EPILIA works according to the following principle: RF energy concentrates on low impedance area. If the temperature is lower, impedance will be lower. With a cooling function, it protects the epidermis layer against the heat. And then, laser (Energy is safe even for dark skin) preheats the hair follicles. RF applies more heat to hair follicles.
Dermis impedance is lower. So RF energy is concentrated. More safety: RF enables less optical energy to ensure the user’s safety. Using the stable and high power laser diode made in Germany, the equipment allows for permanent and precise laser hair removal, and the pulse width is adjustable by seven steps.
Thus, a suitable parameter can be applied depending on hair conditions. It can maintain the cooling temperature (5~8°C) by sensor to reduce pain. Large areas can be treated in a shorter time by 15Hz mode.
