I-Bone series, bone conduction headsets developed by Hanho Electronics Co., Ltd., are specially designed to help those who have difficulty in hearing hear music and/or telephone conversation by bone conduction, which differentiates the product from rival bone conduction headsets for the non-disabled only. The Bluetooth available headset also can be used as a handfree when connected with mobile phones.
Bone conduction has a mechanism to transmit the vibration of the bone to auditory cochlea as a sound not passing the eardrum, so it drastically reduces the stress of the ear and prevents the damage of the eardrum. About 10% of younger people who are suffered from noise induced hearing loss and have damaged eardrum may also hear the sound.
As the ear is not blocked, the user may hear surrounding noises, and avoid possible risk during outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, skiing and jogging. It also causes no signs of fatigue and hearing ability reduction, even in long-term use, as the sound is directly transmitted to the auditory organ.
Hanho Electronics also produces an insertion type Bluetooth available in earbud, which provides bone conducting as well as air-ventilation at the same time. As the ear-bud significantly improves the hearing capability through the double conducting systems, it boasts so excellent sound quality that can provide much clearer and richer sound and even replace hearing-aid of the hearing-impaired.
