As a top-5 player of the global cutting tool industry, YG-1 has been constantly increasing its global share with its flagship precision cutting tools to more than 75 countries, based upon solid dominance of the Korean market. “We are a small titan in manufacturing of end mills (used in cutting die), taps (used in making automobiles engines), and drills, with the ranking of the world’s No. 1, 4, and 6, respectively,” the company’s president proudly said about YG-1’s dominance of the global market. “YG-1’s unremitted releases of upgraded high-quality precision cutting tools for high-precision operations for automobiles, electronic appliances, aircraft fuselages, medical, optical and aerospace industries are a major factor in at least
keeping its current global market presence or further heightening our global share.”
The principal precision cutting tools include X5070 carbide end mills, X-Power carbide end mills, Tank-Power powdered
metal end mills, and K-2 carbide end mills, etc. The drill is used for making holes in manufactured articles, which include metal molds, components for machine tools, automobiles and electronic appliances. Current popular drills are carbide Dream Drills, HPD Drills, Gold-P drills and Spade Drills. Spade drills are used to create holes ranging in size from 9.5mm to 114.3mm diameter and thus very deep holes can also be drilled. The Dream Drill range is largely comprised of Dream Drill General (for General Steel), Dream Drill Inox (for Stainless Steel and Titanium), Dream Drill Alu (for Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys), Dream Drill Hardened Steel (for hardened material from HRc50 to HRc70),and Dream drill MQL (for deep hole drilling such as 10xD, 15xD, and 20xD). Selecting the most suitable tools for working is possible depending on a customer’s specific working conditions. Witnessing export takes 70 percent share of its total output, the company is intensively centering on its investments in the
Chinese domestic market following last year’s move. Asked about whether the impact of the global recession is affecting YG-1’s drive toward global markets, he remarked as follows: “Given the global economic recession triggered by the Eurozone crisis, we are preemptively fixing our eye on new global economic powers like China, India, etc. - even though they are also already feeling a considerable impact from the crisis. We will gradually heighten our share of the global market - especially through new productive markets - in spite of the recession worldwide.”
YG-1 recently was awarded the $200million Export Tower by KITA(Korea International Trade Association), recording US$200million in exports and thus proving its contribution to South Korea’s amazing performance of recording US1$trillion in trade following last year’s first great move.
