With extensive experience and competitive technologies built up over more
than 10 years, P&Tech Co., Ltd. (www.p-tech2000.com) is engaged in developing and
manufacturing semiconductor equipment and solar cell equipment. Semiconductor, solar cell
and furnace equipment that the company produces have been exported to 20 countries.
Mr. Park Jong-shin, owner and CEO of the company was awarded the 46th Trader of the
Month for his contribution to outstanding export performance of P&Tech in the global market.
P&Tech succeeded in developing the equipment for BBr3 process for solar cell for the first
time in Korea and supplied domestic and foreign companies that develop and manufacture
photovoltaic equipment, including Korea University, STX, KPE and ITRI in Twain.
In addition, the company finished a development semiconductor, which is now supplied to
domestic and foreign companies, including DMA, TES, LG Electronics and Isofoton in Spain, creating
reliable revenue and replacing the previously imported products with locally made products.
In 2005, P&Tech established a corporate R&D center to develop semiconductor and solar cell
production equipment and has obtained seven patents in related technologies.
So far, P&Tech has already finished or has been carried out the following four statesponsored
projects with the Small Business Administration and Korean Institute of Industrial
Technology Evaluation and Planning.
- POCI process furnace equipment development (finished)
- heat treatment process for Low-k insulator film development (finished)
- Production facility and technology for making tempered glass used for touch screen (finished)
- In-situ oxide doping furnace equipment and related process for high-efficient solar cells
(development is under way)
- Aside from these development projects, the company is developing heat treatment
equipment used for semiconductors at a high temperature.
The company established a local subsidiary in Shanghai, China, in 2006 for promoting marketing
activities of its semiconductor and solar cell equipment there. In addition, it manufactures and processes
thermocouples in China, supplying them to local semiconductor and solar cell companies. As an outpost
connecting to businesses in Korea, its Chinese subsidiary is also actively participating in related industrial
fairs, including Semicon China every year, maintaining business relationships with about 30 local
companies in China. P&Tech is eager to build strong foundations for growing into a major manufacturer
of semiconductor and photovoltaic furnaces in three years from now. To this end, it is focusing on
improving its ability to design and manufacture semiconductor and photovoltaic equipment to acquire
customer trust. In addition, the company will secure competitiveness by improving software and
equipment design abilities so that it can provide best quality equipment at competitive prices.
