Busan-based Korea Cast Iron Pipe Ind., which established in 1953, has developed and commercialized ductile cast iron pipes for the first time in Korea and has been consistently applied them to the nation¡¯s water and sewage facility, thereby contributing to the development of the industry over the past six decades.
The epoxy resin-treated pipes from the company are made with treatment of BPF epoxy paint into the internal of ductile cast iron pipe manufactured using centrifugal casting. Measuring DN80mm~1,200mm in diameter, the pipes basically meet global hygiene safety standards such as KC, ANSI, NSF Std. 61, and WRAS. The volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are originally prohibited in the manufacturing process and thus possible occurrence of air and water pollution is conspicuously prevented.
The increased inner diameter of pipes resulted in the lowering of electricity costs. The decreased weight of pipes allows the operator to save transporting costs considerably. Such a feature contributed to increase of convenience in treatment. What¡¯s more, the decreased cost in pipe cleaning allows the flexible use of water resources.
The company will continue its efforts for improving the quality of such all kinds of products as ductile cast iron pipes, coated steel pipes for water service, fittings for the pipes, and general casting products for automobiles. Most of its products meet international standards of ISO, ANSI, AWWA, EN, JIS and BS. The venture is proud of engaging in developing and releasing eco-friendlyproducts.
