Established in 1999 as a specialized manufacturer of indoor lighting fluorescent fixtures, LED1 has now become one of the most advanced lighting makers in Korea through adding a next-generation light source of LED lighting fixtures.
In 2009, LED1 successfully released a new model of LED(Light-Emitting Diode) lighting that features the best level in the industry of 10Lux per W. The newly unveiled product is highly attractive as it is designed to greatly solve the environmental problem and help energy saving through considerably lowering emissions of CO2. Complying with the nation’s global-leading ambitious drive of Low-carbon, Green Growth, the product is considered to be one of the government’s strategic items for advancing into promising overseas markets.
Currently all the company’s products are satisfying international environmental standards. LED1’s total sales have soared from $0.1 million in 1991 to $32million in 2012. Now the company ranks as the nation’s No. 1 in PPS(Public Procurement Service in Government) last year accomplishing $12mil in export volume.
The company has started production of LED full-line earlier this year. LED1 will continue to strengthen its efforts including intensifying R&D for greater innovative versions of items than now to fully meet any demanding orders from foreign markets.
