Traditional winding-type revolving magnetic field generators contain large amounts of coils and electric components. The need for winding and a voltage controller increases the possibility of malfunctions or operational errors.
Damage to internal parts caused by overload, moisture, current surges and lightning strikes can stop the generator’s operation and create significant operational difficulties.
To address these problems Sun-Tech has developed a high-efficiency generator using a 2-3000kw permanent magnet rotor. The use of a finite element method in the generator’s design delivers better waveforms, minimizes leakage flux and improves efficiency.
Sun-Tech’s permanent magnet generator drastically reduces harmonics that have a large effect on load facilities, which generates clean voltage.
The size of the generator is 2/3 of existing generators, and overall efficiency at 98.62% is a notable improvement over traditional generators at 91.9%. Comparing to a 500kw diesel generator, this leads to total annual savings of nearly 50 million won.
