DACC has developed carbon-ceramic(C/SiC) brake discs for high-end vehicles.
Carbon ceramic brake discs utilize carbon fiber reinforcement and silicon carbide(SiC) matrix, materials which offer excellent braking performance and greater safety and combine good physical, mechanical and friction properties, such as corrosion resistance, good heat conductivity and high abrasion and temperature resistance and high and constant friction characteristics in wet, cold and hot conditions.
The discs have a lifetime of approximately 300,000km and lower pedal forces and quick brake response due to high friction value.
