KOREA PACK 2013 is the most representative show in Korea focused on all kinds of packaging processing equipment based on the fields of food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and electronics industry in Korea. Since it was launched in 1992, KOREA PACK has been exhibiting products from more than 800 companies in the world in the recently expanded 50,000m2 exhibition hall, KINTEX. The South Korean packaging industry is one of the industries that has been growing continuingly through demands in the primary and secondary industries in South Korea. The total sales figures of the packaging industry are about 29 trillion (KRW) with prospects of scale larger than both the software(20 trillion KRW) and the Bio(15 trillion KRW) industries. Moreover, global sales are expected to increase to 43 trillion(KRW) by 2015. The exhibition hall for KOREA PACK 2013, KINTEX is located around the capital area and it has been a hot location for forming and promoting business relationships with over 4 million visitors every year. KOREA PACK 2013 will feature various interesting and valuable programs such as a conference including seminars with several professional global speakers to provide an opportunity to share fresh ideas and information with other participants. KOREA PACK is offering new attractions every year. Now, it is also expanding in the high value-added fields such as the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic related fields with the industry and holding some concurrent exhibitions. An exhibition launched in 2006, COPHEX is based on the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry and KOREA LAB has exhibited laboratory and analytical equipment. Also KOREA PACK showcased the field of material handling automation equipment to enhance packaging processes since 2011. Participation in KOREA PACK 2013 is expected to grow by over 20% compared with last year. Exhibitors from Europe, America, and Asia, including Japan and China, are participating and the scale is expanding every year, with buyers from more than 50 countries visiting KOREA PACK.
