Seoul Pack is now considered to be the premier packaging exhibition in Korea attracting global-scale participants.
The upcoming Seoul Pack 2014 is expected to attract ever large number of participants from five national groups and independent exhibitors from up to 35 countries. Buyers are expected to exceed 40,000 trade professionals as business and investment continues to rise in Asia and around world. It will be tentatively held from October 21 through 24, 2014. The 2014 version of Seoul Pack will be featured with such major areas as Packaging Machinery & Materials, Packaging Automation System, Filling/Sealing/Weighting Machinery, Printing Machinery, Food Processing & Packaging Machinery, Pharmaceuticals Processing & Packaging Machinery, Shrink Packaging Machinery, Material Handling, Quality Control and Testing system, Automation, Paper & Plastics Containers, Packaging Related Device, etc.
The South Korean government sets as a target the competitiveness of the packaging industry rises by 90% of developed countries by 2015. Starting with $2.7 billion in contract scale in 2007, packaging industry in South Korea is maintaining its steady growth pace. The anticipated growth in contract scale of the industry is expected to reach $4.3 billion in 2015. With the emergence of Green Growth which supports the virtuous cycle between the environment and the economy, the demand for green packaging is increasing continuously. Revolving around the manufacturing industry, especially Food Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals, packaging, which is the last of manufacturing & the first of Logistics contributes to the efficiency across industry. Last year, Seoul Pack 2012 gathered 376 companies from 21 countries and attracted 32,727 trade buyers from 30 countries including the EU, USA, Japan, China, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Pakistan, etc. It has been held from Oct 23 to Oct 26, 2012, occupying 2,3,4,5 Hall at the Korea International Exhibition Center(KINTEX) while fully meeting the various demands of its direct and indirect industrial circles in such specific areas as packaging machinery, materials, etc.
Last year¡¯s edition of the show presented a wide-range of packaging products and services in the area of packaging technology. The event was designed to promote the latest product processing and packaging systems, machinery, equipment, technology, materials and services to brand owners, retailers, packaging service operators, manufacturers and processors.
