The Big 5 Show 2010 will be staged at the Dubai World Trade Centre a state-of-the-art venue in Dubai’s business district on
the Sheikh Zayed Road on Nov. 22-25. An official of the organization was quoted as saying that this huge event has developed a
high reputation as the Middle East’s most successful trade exhibition. It is also one of the world’s major building and
construction shows, by offering a comprehensive program of seminars, conferences and events focusing on a variety of topical
issues affecting the construction industry. “The coming show is expected to shape many unique features designed to share
invaluable industry knowledge and inform visitors on the latest trends and innovations.”
“Based upon long-accumulated know-how and experience in the field, it is considered to be the very best place to check out
market trends and to generate new venues for raising creative and strategic ideas for innovating enterprises,” said an official of
the organization. Among the show categories were site infrastructure, facility services and plant machinery & vehicles and also
its exhibits ranged from construction & building, to water resources & the environment, refrigeration & air-conditioning,
maintenance, glass & metal, bathrooms & ceramics and marbles. The show will this year reportedly be packed full of exclusive
educational content designed by industry experts. According to reliable sources, the Gulf region, including United Arab
Emirates, remains a strategically important area of the world with over 65% of the world’s oil reserves. The Gulf Cooperation
Council (GCC) - the main trading bloc in the region - comprising Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait,
Oman and Qatar. There are large-scale developments encompassing Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, etc. to house the
increasing population along with substantial investments going into infrastructure. And also, it was noted that all the areas,
including Iran and the Indian sub-continent, have enormous commercial potential, so currently there is increasingly brisk
trading with the GCC states. Given the fact that there are increasing trading opportunities in the region with the continuing
